The 191st winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Sunday 2nd May 2004 over the Rowley Mile, was Attraction (11/2), a bay filly by Efisio out of Flirtation, owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, trained at Kingsley House, Middleham by Mark Johnston and ridden by Kevin Darley. The winner won by half a length in 1 minute 36.78 secs, with a further half length between second and third. A field of 16 runners contested the race which was worth £187,195 (Equivalent to £271,400 in 2017)
